REASONS AS TO WHY INTERNAL RECRUITMENT IS MOSTLY PREFERRED THAN EXTERNAL RECRUITMENT.

Hello dear reader, today we’re going to study in detail some of the major reasons as to why internal recruitment is more preferable than external recruitment. Recruitment is the process of attracting and acquiring potential employees to fill in vacant job positions within a business i.e. an organisation or a company. There are two types of recruitment ; internal recruitment where recruitment is done within the organization and external recruitment where recruitment is done outside the organization. So we are going to look at the key reasons as to why now internal recruitment is more preferable to external recruitment in the acquisition of potential employees to fill vacant job posts and positions within an organization. Some of the major reasons are highlighted and elaborated below:

. Internal recruitment is more cheaper as compared to external recruitment.

 Internal recruitment majorly involves the recruitment of employees inside the organisation. Most of the training is done by either fellow employees, job shadowing where an employee has to follow his/her trainer, observe what he/she is doing and learn, job rotation where an employee has to perform a variety of different tasks to increase his/her proficiency or even job enlargement where additional duties are delegated to the employee to increase his/her skills, knowledge and abilities. All these training is done by fellow stakeholders within the organization hence no labor costs are incurred unlike external recruitment where you as a manager is supposed to incur labor costs in hiring a professional to recruit the employees or potential employees. Therefore with decrease in labor costs in internal recruitment, most managers opt to implement this type of recruitment more often.

  Through internal recruitment, employees are more motivated to work hard as the major benefits enjoyed are endless. Promotions being one of the major benefits. Therefore, each and every employee will aspire to receive the promotion as through promotion also, there is an increase in salary as well as recognition. Hence many of the employees will give it all their best in performing their routine job activities and operations more efficiently and effectively. Thus you’ll end up maximizing your output and profits greatly in the long run. Therefore for these benefits , most of the managers opt to adopting internal recruitment in their recruitment process .

 Since employees are motivated to work towards the achievement of the benefits that follows after the recruitment, labor turnover will decrease. More employees will develop that sense of belonging hence they’ll work hard to ensure that they stay in the organization and develop their skills and abilities so that they can rise to greater positions and acquire more benefits in the long run. Since most of the employees are the ones who take part in the recruitment process, their interrelations improves greatly as they interruct in that learning process together. Because also they all work under one roof, interacting becomes more easier hence them interacting more in the recruitment process helps strengthen their relations amongst each other. Hence there will be togetherness and solidarity in performing routine business operations and activities in the long run. Hence you as an entrepreneur or a manager will be able to maximize your productivity levels and profits too thus succeed business wise too. Thus through the benefits that follows through having employees with good relations, many managers and entrepreneurs opt to use internal recruitment in their recruitment process.
