MAJOR ROLES PLAYED BY A HR MANAGER IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF BUSINESS SUCCESS :

Hello reader, today I’ll be taking you through some of the major roles a human resource manager plays towards the achievement of business success. His/her major concern is based on the human resource/the personnel working in a business may it be a company or an industry. Simply provided that there are a variety of people working in a given organisation. The HR main duty is to manage those people effectively and efficiently towards the achievement of business success. Therefore you’ll find that he/she is directly involved in ensuring that employees work to their maximum best in maximization of the quantity and quality of the end product or results. Hence having a HR expert in your organization is crucial in the achievement of business success. Some of the major key roles played by a human resource manager towards the achievement of business success are highlighted and elaborated below:

. Recruitment and selection.

 A human resource manager is mandated to perform these key processes as they play a crucial role in acquisition of competent staff or potential employees who’ll work in the organization. His/her major aim here is to advertise for vacant job posts and positions hence create a large pool of applicants who possess the necessary skills and qualifications for the job post. Then after that he/she is mandated to carry out a critical review and analysis of the applicants resumes to ascertain their qualifications needed to perform the duties on the job position advertised. An interview then follows . This facilitates the HR manager to get to interact and know more about the potential employee. Then after the completion of this stage, the HR now is able to select the most qualified and competent potential employee to fill the job post. Therefore through this process, a business will be able to acquire more efficient and competent workforce thus maximize it’s productivity and profits greatly. Hence business success will be achieved in the long run.

. Remuneration.

 It is the duty of a HR manager to ensure that each employee is compensated fairly in relation to his/her job done. He/she should ensure that no employee is left behind in receiving his/her share of income after the accomplishment of the duties and tasks delegated to them . A human resource manager too is to ensure that there’s no discrimination in disbursing the employee’s salaries. Most of the time these employees do not receive their share of income fairly but through having a HR in your organization, these cases are minimized hence the employees end up being even motivated and willing to work greatly. Therefore the business/organisation will be able to maximize it’s productivity and profits greatly. Hence business success is guaranteed.

. Training and development.

 It is the role of a HR manager to ensure that employees are frequently trained and developed so that their skills, knowledge and proficiency would be increased. Therefore if your employees, mostly the underperforming ones are trained and developed, the production activities and operations will be undertaken effectively hence production will increase. Production increasing creates a certainty that you’ll be able to maximize your sales and profits at large. Hence your business succeeds in the long run. 

. Performance appraisal.

 The human resource manager is responsible for the appraisal of the most effective and performing employees in an organisation. He/she is mandated to carry out regular inspections and surveillance within the workplace hence spot out the most performing and effective employees. Hence to motivate and appreciate them, he/she appraises them through rewards and recognition. We all love being appreciated and recognized for our efforts and performance. Don’t we? So through rewards, these employees morale is boosted hence they’ll end up giving all their best in performing their delegated tasks and duties. Therefore production will increase greatly and this now will lead to profit maximization. Through this , business success will be attained in the long run.

In conclusion, a human resource manager plays a vital role in the major aim achieving business success. He/she is able to manage the most important asset in an organisation or a business effectively and efficiently thus maximizing their performance levels . Hence this contributes greatly to the achievement of business success. Thus as entrepreneurs, to maximize and achieve business success and goals effectively, adopting a HR in the daily business operations is crucial.
